Practical Steps To Induce Astral Projection Using Isochronic Tones
75
First, obtain some isochronic tones designed for astral projection (suggestions are offered at the end of the article). Set up a time and place for you to perform your experience. Early morning is usually better than late at night because the brain’s chemistry at this time is optimal to produce theta brainwaves.
When you are ready to start, have your isochronic tone recording play at a pleasant volume (while headphones are not required I do recommend them). Begin to relax in any manner you find effective: by slowing down your breathing, focusing on an object or image, visualizing serene scenery, etc. Keep in mind your intention to experience astral projection while ignoring outer stimuli.
Do not force anything, you cannot push or force it to happen – attachment to your desire will only bring failure (perennial Buddhist advice!) Just let the isochronic tones guide your brain into the right frequencies (that is, 4 to 8 Hz theta brainwaves). It is more about allowing relaxation to take place and the process to unfold than performing any specific action at this point.
After some time, it could be anywhere between 15 and 60 minutes depending on your state of mind, your brain should begin to generate theta brainwaves and your body will literally fall asleep (and feel heavier) while your mind does not. At this point it is normal to experience what is called sleep paralysis. This is a condition where you will find yourself unable to move your body (it is normal and happens every night to prevent your body from moving while you dream).
This is a far as brainwave entrainment will take you – but most people never even make it this far consciously. From this standpoint, you should be aware and feel your energetic body more so than your physical one. You might feel tingly, expansive and/or less dense. This means you are ready to project yourself out of your body. It might happen on its own without requiring you to do anything or you may have to perform an exit technique which is just basically you trying to coax and move your energetic body. It is the will and desire which will have you move.
You will probably have to experiment quite a few times to get it right because the altered sensation of getting out of your body can be somewhat startling – not necessarily unpleasant, just unusual and this can cause you to get back into your body. Once you start however, you will be hooked! It is an utterly fascinating state of experience. And to get there, isochronic tones are quite a useful tool.

I have never used tones, but instead soft jazz, miles davis pandora radio works great. Honestly, anything to keep your brain awake while your body enters sleep paralysis will work. Just keep relaxed. Once you journey there once or twice, you won't even need the music/tone because you will know the sensation you are looking for. I taught myself in the morning hours, but can do it almost anytime. One deviation from the article, is i would not recommend using your bed. You body has associated that place with normal sleeping. It will be difficult not to just pas out. Use some other comfy place in the house. Even throw a bunch of pillows in a corner. Unfamiliar = easier.
Can I go back to my physical body after astral projection? are there instances that the soul fails to return to the physcal body resulting to death of the person who tries doing the astral projection...? just curious....
I'm not sure about dying during astral projection because i've always heard of it being part of lucid dreaming

is it essential to have the tones playing during the duration of the experience? should i be laying down or sitting?
